The #LatinoTrendsetter Awards is produced by LatinTRENDS and sponsored in part by CUNY, Spanish Broadcasting System, La Mega 97.9 &Amor 93.1 and Hennessy. The event celebrates excellence and recognizes leaders in business, education, entertainment, art, health, technology, and community service, while acknowledging the communities’ contributions to popular culture.

Juan Guillen, LatinTRENDS founder & CEO, states; “The 13th Annual Latino Trendsetter Awards is an Inspirational Platform that is redefining what it means to be a star”. A star is usually associated with being a celebrity. We believe a star is a man or woman that works hard & intelligently on what they do and love. They are risk-takers, big-dreamers, doers and go-getters; they have vision and integrity. They are visible members of the community and are reachable, not out of touch. The Latino Trendsetter Awards Recipients are the true stars of the community. They inspire a new generation.

In its 13th year, the award recognizes people as leaders…trendsetters in their respective fields and it is on-point with LatinTRENDS’ Magazine mission of inspiring a new generation of forward thinking men and women. It is also an inspirational platform that serves the community’s needs of hearing and sharing positive real life success stories from members of the community. This year, the event will take place at the Symphony Space Theater.

The awards program will have an entertainment value, which will incorporate a culturally relevant program of Latin culture, expressed through theater, music and dance. The awards show will close with a live performance by Grammy winner Tito Nieves.
